  1. Hi Tom: Will there be a resonant filter control built into the DSM-1 upgrade. No hurry to reply, I see how busy you are.

    • One of the main goals of the upgrade is to include resonance control. Some people are under the impression that the DSM-1 doesn’t have a resonant filter at all. It actually has the exact same chips as the DSS-1 but many of the functions are disabled (12/24dB switch, resonance, second mixer input). The mod will involve removing the NJM2069 filter chips and installing a socket, and a small PCB will plug into that socket with the original NJM2069 and some additional components. A side benefit of this is that the new board will include vastly improved op-amps for a far cleaner signal path.
